VII. Brief Introduction
Promoting Chinese-style modernization is the cornerstone for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. This modernization effort necessitates the establishment of a modern industrial system, grounded in advanced productive forces. Currently, the global value chain is undergoing rapid adjustment and reconstruction, amidst intensifying strategic competition among major countries. In this backdrop, a more competitive modern industrial system is vital to effectively aggregate and integrate global advantageous resources, thereby securing a competitive edge in the global arena.
Furthermore, accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system leverages China's vast market potential, nurturing and tapping into domestic demand. It promotes the optimization of industrial structures and the upgrading of global value chains, strengthens domestic capacity and demand, and integrates domestic economic development into the global economy. This, in turn, smoothens the domestic and international dual circulation and injects robust momentum into high-quality development.
To achieve this goal, Anhui University of Finance and Economics will host an international academic seminar titled International Symposium on the Reconstruction of Global Value Chains and the Construction of Modern Industrial Systems on September 20-21, 2024. The primary objective of this conference is to foster collaborative discussions centered on global value chains, the modern industrial system, and strategies for high-quality industrial development.
The conference agenda will encompass a keynote speech on the theme, sub-forum discussions, a journal meeting, and other related activities. Additionally, outstanding academic papers will be selected for presentation and recognition.
